Four times per year, a dozen members of our church community give a Sunday afternoon to care for our brothers and sisters who can no longer come to worship. Our home communion team brings the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper to those who otherwise would not receive it, forming a bridge of compassion and care from our gathered church family to those who are limited by health conditions and old age. Not only do they bring the sacrament, they bring love, laughter, and listening ears to the lonely.
Have you ever been ordained as a deacon or elder? Do you want to brighten someone’s day? Then say “Yes” to being a part of our home communion team! And be sure to thank those who already are!
