We are hiring a Traditional Worship Leader!

We have begun our search for a new Traditional Worship Leader for the music in our 11:00 Worship Service. Maitland Presbyterian has a long history of music leadership in our community and enjoys partnerships with local music groups including the Maitland Symphony Orchestra. The Vocal and Bell Choirs rehearse on Wednesday evenings. Interested candidates can email Co-Pastors Megan and Dave Collins at mcollins@maitlandpres.org

Purpose To lead the congregation in the worship of God through music at the 11:00 AM Sunday Traditional Service

Responsibilities 1. Together with the Co-Pastors, lead the congregation in the weekly worship of God 2. Meet with the Co-Pastors to design, implement and evaluate weekly worship services that are God-honoring, accessible to the unchurched, and Reformed in ordering. 3. Direct the planning, coordination, operation and evaluation of the traditional music ministry.

4. Coordinate the traditional music ministry with the calendar and mission of the Church. 5. Be responsible for the selection of the music, both hymns and anthems, consistent with the Scriptural teaching for the specific Sunday. 6. Assist in music leadership for funerals as available. 7. Communicate and collaborate with the organist/pianist. 8. Direct the Chancel choir, hand bells, and special music groups during traditional worship services, and be responsible for enlisting and training leaders for this work. 9. Build a sense of community and support among the volunteer musicians. 10. Provide the annual budget for traditional worship to be submitted for final approval. 11. Participate as a member of the staff team. 12. Work with the pastors to plan and lead special worship services, such as Christmas Eve, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter.
