Speaking of elders, today's love like Jesus highlight is about the session of Maitland Presbyterian Church! This group of 9 church members are elected by the congregation to make decisions and lead the church through prayer, discussion and discernment together. Each of them offer three years to the church to this ministry. Especially in this challenging time, the session has been in communication each week sharing thoughts and making decisions over Zoom and email. Sometimes loving like Jesus is hands on mission in our community. Other times it happens around a table (or on a Zoom call!) with leaders listening for God's leading and the wisdom of the scientific and medical community to lead and protect this congregation. Thank you elders for your ministry in this congregation!
